For MDCT equipped BMW M car owner, you've most likely experienced limp mode from overheating or oil starvation when driving on the track. OEM MDCT pans tend wrap and leak over time, even from purely street usage.
It's not a matter of if, but rather of when.
This is another step in building out the “Ultimate Response” S65 drivetrain.
MDCT Motorsport Oil Pans
"No more leaks."
CNC machined from aluminum alloy, Slon's pan is designed with precise parameters that it allows installation without gaskets.
Improved performance & reliability
What appears to first be a maintenance step is also considered a performance enabler modification.
Mikhail @ Slon engineered clever performance solutions into the pan: internal anti starvation walls solve the low oil pressure problem due oil outflow under high G loads.
The design is enlarged over OE to allow 0.8L extra fill, yet it fits with the underbelly covers.
Slon's oil suction pipe spacer extends stock pipe to lowest point of this high-capacity pan to ensure consistent oil pick up.
Mikhail's MDCT pan has additional extended radiator fins up to 10mm in length to provide additional cooling surface.
Packaging & Options
The packaging is nice touch. I opted for the GTS banjo bolt which help add the extra 1.8L extra fill using GTS filling specs. The kit comes with the required Loctite 574 and the stainless steel bolts.
I went for the side pan covers, they are the OEM 1:1 design, without the seal.
These pans will fit all MDCT transmissions.
Made in Russia, with love
Mikhail’s products have been the on the market for years and have proven itself around the world on various race tracks - yet Mikhail’s work is still in the shadows, with few BMW M enthusiasts aware of Mikhail’s obsessive development of innovative products for BMW M cars.
With EuroConnex - I’m hoping to change that.
Slowly but surely, we will get there as we improve the logistics of getting his products out of Russia and to the world.
You can get the Connex on the MDCT Motorsport Oil Pans here.
