Professional installation is required.

The front and rear windows need to be come out, along with removing the original roof. No welding required.

The kit includes

Alcantara slicktop headliner.

We source slicktop headliners from Europe in standard cloth that are stripped, sanded, repaired, re-foamed and upholstered in Genuine Alcantara matching the original 9002 Anthracite used in the E60 M5.

Genuine BMW hardware

The kit includes the required hardware to install the roof panel, including a new roof bow and sound insulation pads.

Optional service

Alcantara Rear Shelf.

Your original Alcantara rear shelf will likely have endured UV degradation, discoloring the Anthracite to a grey color.

We can strip and recover your rear shelf with new, authentic Alcantara.

The CSL marquee.

For 2 generations, the carbon roof was purely a Coupé feature: the E46 CSL, E92 and E63 had it.

BMW M did develop a carbon panel for the CSL V10 prototype, yet they painted it.

It's time to re-imagine this one.

In this Special Series, I'm taking another step towards the M5 CSL conversion. I document the development, features and conversion process of the E60 M5 CSL carbon roof kit.
