High duration camshaft packages for naturally aspirated BMW M cars.
Our intentions
Reaching the zenith of natural aspiration: over 125hp/liters.

In 2023, I set out to empirically prove, or disprove an hypothesis: could we reach 125hp/liters with stock displacements S54, S65 and S85 engines on pump fuel?

The underlying objective is to achieve N/A performance levels usually reserved to stroker motors for 1/4th of the cost.

To achieve this, I started from the baseline of standard bolt-on upgrades and dove into the world of high duration camshafts, uprated valvetrains and final drive upgrades.

We had one way to go: higher.

Without a bore and stroke increase, we needed to find power at higher revs.

The benefits to camshaft upgrades on the S54 were well documented, however the S65 and S85 were unknowns.

The few public information sources claimed little to no gains were achievable.

As of 2024, I'm happy to report my hypotheses have been proven right.

Complete turnkey solution.

The SXX-EVO Program is based on a cylinder head core exchange service to provide limited downtime, and reduce installation related risks.

The heads are machined, refreshed and upgraded with the components required for the Sxx-EVO.

The kit is delivered with the required hardware to install the cylinder heads.

The highest duration camshafts compatible with dual VANOS.

At the core of each engine's program are Schrick cams, with the highest available duration that remains compatible with each engine's dual VANOS system.

All camshafts are sourced directly from Schrick, in Germany. As the leading camshaft manufacturer in the world, they are the only brand I trust.

Supporting hardware
Uprated, lightened valvetrains.

The high duration camshafts enable increased power gains at higher RPMs.

The original BMW valvetrain needs to be lightened and uprated to safely rev higher.

Components were selected from various high profile manufacturers in the US, and Germany.

tuning included

Optimized engine maps.

I have worked with various tuners to develop engine maps specific to the EVO packages.

Tuning was focused on drivability, with hours of road testing across various weather conditions, with final tuning for optimal performance on dyno tuning sessions.

We offer off-the-shelf maps for standard modifications, along with remote dyno tuning.

Complementary upgrade
Final drive ratio upgrades.

The increase in revs allows the usage of higher final drive ratios, improving torque multiplication to the wheels.

Using BMW Motorsport gears, we achieve faster acceleration while retaining similar top speeds to the original configurations.

We can source the parts for a local swap, or provide a complete differential upgrade service with a core exchange.
