The original Recaro seat accessories and shells are for the most part left in raw black plastic finishes.
These surfaces present an opportunity to customize your seats in unique ways with upscaled materials and finishes.
Painted or Recovered.
All customizable surfaces presented below can be painted or recovered.
We use automotive grade quality paint and can color match any original color code in any clear coated finish.
For recovered sections, we use can use any fabric, Alcantara or leather material. Some surfaces are best used with specific materials.
Customizable surfaces for the Sportster CS
The Sportster's upper shells are prime real estate for customization of your seats, often used as the main section to dictate the overall theme.
The lower shells are arguably the least noticeable section of you seat, with 80% of it hidden away.
Still, it's about knowing it was done, and the subtle quality touches it adds to your seats.
The Sportster CS's side covers are the most popular section to customize.
They are immediately seen upon opening the doors of your M car and make a discerning impact on the aesthetics of your seats.
For seats equipped with Airbags, careful attention is put on to retain complete functionality.
This section is for the most daring: anything other than black will immediately contrast with the standard aesthetics of most seats.
Due to their curvature and reclining functionalities, the harness covers are best painted to avoid friction wear from increased material thickness.
Customizable surfaces for the Pole Position.
The original fiberglass shells on Pole Positions are coated in a glossy black finish: it's easily scratched, with average finish quality.
The Pole Position Harness covers are most visible from the rear. They present a great opportunity to contrast the shell and upholstery work.
The Pole Position's seat slots are finished with glued-on leatherette with a stitched fabric band.
Similar to the CS's side covers, they are immediately seen upon opening your BMW M's doors.
I am currently working on creating complementary accessories in machined aluminum and pre-preg carbon fiber.
