Everywhere I want to go: it goes.
A teenage dream.

Back in 2012, I was shopping for an Interlagos Blue E60 M5 with plans to move to California.

Life circumstances changed my plans and I stayed in Canada.

The market has changed in a decade: good cars are getting rarer than ever and the market is as depressed as it's ever been.

I got my hands on one.

I have so much to say about how perfectly imperfect the V10 M5 is.

The automotive equivalent of “cocaine and hookers”.

Welcome to my build journal.

My latest entries

In this final entry to the Series, we finalize the little things that matter to achieve an OEM level conversion. I document the installation of the headliner & rear shelf prior to refitting the front and rear windows, along with all accessories. I wrap it up with detailed numbers, and my closing thoughts on the benefits of the conversion.

In this entry, we're back at the upholstery shop to recondition the rear shelf with new Anthracite Alcantara, in the process creating a new optional service for those looking to do the CSL carbon roof conversion

In this entry, it's time: preparations are made, and the carbon panel finally gets glued and sealed.

In this entry, I document the underlying benefits to the carbon roof conversion. I review the required Genuine BMW hardware, and we test fit the carbon roof to understand how it's aligned. Lastly, accessories get painted and slight repairs are performed.

In this entry, we begin the CSL carbon roof conversion by uninstalling auxiliary components before tackling the daunting removal of the original metal roof. I document the process and set expectations.
