Hardware and accessories are not included. You will have to transfer all your current Genuine BMW hardware onto the new shelf.

One of many intersections.

The E46 M3's interior quality was acceptable for the 1990s. Fast forward 25 years on, standards have changed and erosion has done its damage.

The rear shelf of the E46 M3 is known to turn from black to blue from UV exposure.

With replacements selling for 640 US as of 2026, we sought to offer a premium alternative that modernizes the interior and removes weight in the process.

In this entry, I will document the features and options of our carbon rear shelf.
