The zenith of BMW M NA engines was still restricted.

The S85 exhaust system development was heavily influence by the BMW Motorsport F1 program.

The S85 marked the first development of equal length headers to a BMW M engine in a V configuration, a vast departure from the log style manifold on the S62 in the E39 M5.

Yet, BMW M still compromised and created an opportunity to uncork significant power gains.

In this Product Series, I document the development, unboxing and installation of the InfinityDesign Long Tube S85 V3 headers.
