Foam work
Foundational work to quality.

In a similar process to paint work, the final quality of your seats is dictated by its foundational layer.

Most designs that differ from the standard Recaro covers require the underlying foam to be reworked. Fit, finish and durability would otherwise be compromised.

We have developed techniques and tested materials to re-create the BMW Performance pattern and new original designs.

Foam work is part of many hidden aspects of seat upholstery that matters for those that know, and want the best.

Filling.

Original foam cut outs are filled and matched to be seamlessly integrated.

Padding.

Specific foam is shaped and glued on designs that require additional padding.

Cuting.

New foam lines are carved out by hand.

Finishing.

Any gaps created during the rework process is blended into the foam to ensure finish quality and durability.
craftmanship
Measured twice, at every steps.

The original BMW Performance signature design has varying depths, angles and widths across the upper torso section.

The sole way to accurately re-create the BMW Performance seat was to fully dismantle an original seat and measure all angles.

original quality

Original cover attachments are used.

The foam reworks create new lines into which the cover will snuggly fit.

We use original Recaro clips and matching quality Velcro.

bespoke recaro seats
Explore the program.

Our intention was to offer an OEM level re-creation of the discontinued BMW Performance seats down to the most minute details.

Every single stitches, the unique foam, the custom paint and embroidery along with the electronics integrated into the OEM seats were dissected.

The program expanded upon the original BMW Performance seat with recreations of signature Recaro seat designs.
