- 1:1 design and carbon process of the original BMW Performance replacement mirror caps that have been discontinued.
- The caps uses the same 4x clips arrangement as the original M Performance with a revised design for improved durability.
Weave options:
- 1x1 matches OEM CSL and carbon roof.
- 2x2 matches original M Performance parts.
- Forged and checkered carbon is also available.
Finish:
- Automotive 2 component clear coat
- Available in high gloss or satin finish
  - High gloss is wet sanded polished.

Installation Notes

No installation hardware is required. This is considered an accessible, easy DIY. The original caps need to be pulled. Trim tools may be useful.

Recreating the discontinued original.

BMW M has began discontinuing the M Performance product line for the E9X M3. They started with one of it's most sought after product: the carbon fiber mirror caps.

In this Product Series, I document the initial development of the 1:1 Carbon Mirror Replacement Caps with Karbonius back in 2020. I discuss the prototype, my first impressions and its eventual discontinuation in 2023.

In 2024 and 2025, I created a new option for sourcing 1:1 replica of the original BMW Performance caps that are now made in Germany and to even higher standards.
